‘Youm-e-Ali’ observed in twin cities

The martyrdom day of fourth Caliph Hazrat Ali (AS) was observed across the country with religious spirit, devotion and respect Saturday, says a press release.

Mourning processions were taken out from all small and big cities, towns and villages and ‘Majalis-e-Aza’ were held at mosques and Imambargahs addressed by ‘ulema’, ‘waizeen’ and ‘zakireen’ who highlighted the life of Hazrat Ali (AS) in detail in their addresses.

The main mourning procession in the twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad was taken out from Mohanpura which was attended among others by Patron-in-Chief of Supreme Shia Ulema Board and chief of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Agha Moosavi while talking to media persons on the occasion said that after Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him), the personality of Hazrat Ali (AS) the point of unity among Muslims. The Muslims suffering with anarchy should follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) to come out of problems faced by them.

The TNFJ chief said that Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (AS) is the only personality about whom the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) said that Ali is the ‘maula’ of all those I am the ‘maula’ of whom.

Agha Moosavi said that confrontation with oppressors and support and help for the oppressed is the eternal message of Hazrat Ali (AS) that is why we consider it our foremost duty to raise ‘Kalma-e-Haq’ against every oppressor and atrocious ruler. He said they will express their solidarity the oppressed persons the world over including the oppressed Kashmiris and Palestinians by observing ‘Youm Al-Quds’ on Jumatul Widah who have been ignored by the world conscious and even by the Muslim States.

Ulema-e-Ahle Sunnat and Mashaikh leaders under the leadership of Mufti Iqbal Rizvi, Pir Azmat Sultan Qadar and office-bearers of Anjuman Tajran and Markazi Milad Committee under the leadership of Nadim Shaikh, Shahid Ghafoor Piracha met the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi during the Azadari procession. Special security arrangements were made by the administration for the main procession. In addition to the heavy contingent of police, hundreds of volunteers from Mukhtar Force, Ibrahim Scouts, and open groups were deputed for security arrangements.

Meanwhile, the procession in which over a dozen Matmi Halqas from Rawalpindi Region and thousands of mourners participated terminated after reaching Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain at Sehr time after marching through Fawwara Chowk and Trunk Bazar. Azadari Camp was installed at Kashmiri Bazaar by Mukhtar Students Organisation, Mukhtar Generation Rawalpindi where Sabeel was arranged for participants of the procession. Ibrahim Scouts provided first aid to those who performed ‘zanjeer-zani’ at the first aid camp installed by them.

Meanwhile, according to reports reaching the headquarters of the Maktab-e-Tashih, Shahdat-e-Ali Majalis were held and Taboot processions were taken out from all small and big cities and towns of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jecobabad, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Kohat, Hangu, Parachinar, Dera Ismail Khan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Mirpur, Dhudial, and Azad Kashmir.
