LAHORE
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a technical committee to investigate the spread of chickenpox in Faisalabad and few other districts in Punjab.
According to a handout issued here on Thursday, the committee shall examine the causes of emergence of chickenpox. Former VC King Edward Medical University Prof Faisal Masood is the convener of the committee while Special Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department Dr Sajid Mahmood Chohan will be member/secretary of the committee.
The committee shall inquire into the causes of spread of chickenpox in Faisalabad and few other districts and to identify the implementation gaps and fix responsibility for negligence. The committee will furnish its recommendations to overcome the re-emergence of chickenpox in the province. The committee shall submit its report to the chief minister within 10 days.
