Brace for thundershowers today
Islamabad
The weekend in Islamabad and Rawalpindi was rainy, while the weather in the subsequent days, too, was pleasant due to cloudiness and winds.
Now, the good news is that there is a high likelihood of the two cities seeing showers and thunderstorm today (Wednesday).
"Rain coupled with thunder and gusty winds is expected to fall at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi division, upper FATA, AJK and its adjoining hilly areas on May 24," Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting officer Muhammad Ayaz said on Tuesday.
The weatherman however said mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country.
He also said there was likelihood of light thundershowers falling at few places in upper FATA, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas on May 25 and 26, too.
Muhammad Ayaz said weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours but rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Makran and Kalat divisions.
