In Pakistan, about 89 percent of the population is forced to drink contaminated water. According to research, around 250,000 children under the age of 5 die every year in the country because of waterborne diseases. Contaminated water is one of the biggest reasons for the spread of life threatening diseases.
It is surprising that over 16 million people are living without access to safe water. This is one of the serious issues of the country – one that should be dealt with immediately. The government is requested to take possible steps to resolve the contaminated water problem and provide safe drinking water to citizens.
