Shahbaz condoles

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sense of grief over the death of mother of anchorperson Mubasher Luqman. In a condolence message, the chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude. The CM also expressed sorrow over the death of Abdul Raheem Mandokhel, central deputy chairman PakhtunKhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and MNA. In a condolence message, he prayed that may Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

SUKKUR A two-day symposium on collaboration between academia and industry to do research on water technology concluded in the training centre of Foreign Faculty Hostel, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. The two-day symposium was organised by the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), based in MUET, in collaboration with the University of Utah.
Sindh govt fails to implement PPP chairman’s order

NAWABSHAH: Following the instructions of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to bring improvement in educational standard in Sindh, Sindh Education and Literacy Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar had announced to take steps for reopening closed schools and for tackling teachers’ absenteeism. However, the tall claims of the Sindh government were too shallow as no implementation has been made yet. On the other hand, the orders of the Sindh High Court’s Hyderabad-Circuit Bench to Secretary Education for taking action against government employees involved in journalism were also flouted.
Disabled women given cows

LAHORE: The Livestock and Dairy Development Department distributed buffaloes and cows among 19 disabled women at a ceremony arranged under a welfare programme. Federal Parliamentary Secretary Talal Chaudhry and Punjab Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Rai Haider Ali distributed the cattle at the ceremony.
