Islamabad: The Meteorological Department of Pakistan on Sunday predicted another rain spell to continue for the next two days in many parts of the country. According to the Met office, people were delighted and took a sigh of relief as rainfall lashed various cities of Punjab, withering away the heat intensity. Rain at scattered places in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad also turned the weather pleasant.
Intermittent rain continues to occur in Lahore since morning with cool breeze and gusty winds blowing in the city.Along with Punjab, rainfall has sharply declined the temperature of some areas of inner Sindh. Faisalabad, Narowal, Okara, Chistian, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kund Yaro and Kandhkot also received moderate rainfall.
Residents enjoyed the rain as the downpour turned the city’s weather pleasant, making their way towards parks.A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country. The Met Office has predicted dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds at isolated places in Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D I Khan, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Fata and Kashmir in next 24 hours.
