The country is facing a power shortfall of 7,000MW, leading to frequent power cuts. This has frustrated people across the country. The situation is the worst in Karachi. Since the beginning of May, loadshedding has reached new heights. Frequent power outages have disturbed the lives of the people. Students are facing immense difficulties while preparing for their final examinations. KE is silent over the matter. It is high time the organisation took appropriate steps to deal with the situation. Citizens of Karachi are worried how will they survive Ramzan without electricity.
What is more disappointing is the fact that emergency wards in government hospitals are also without power. For the past few weeks, no positive response has been received over this reported issue. The situation has now reached at an alarming state, the consequences of which are protests and infuriated mobs on roads. The concerned authorities should look into this matter without any further delay.
