Reporters from Islamabad visit PU
LAHORE
An 18-member delegation of Islamabad-based education reporters visited Punjab University (PU) here on Saturday.
The visit was organised by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, deans of various faculties and HEC Director Media Ayesha Ikram were also present.
Talking to the delegation, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said that PU was focusing on quality of research and education.
Ms Ayesha Ikram said the purpose of the visit was to show academic developments in the universities to the media.
Faculty of Life Sciences Dean Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem briefed the delegates on the history and faculties of the university. Later, the delegation visited Institute of Communication Studies and Punjab University Library.
