Two men commit suicide in Baldia Town
Two men committed suicide separately in Baldia Town on Saturday.
SHO Shakil Sherwani of Ittehad Town Police Station said police visited a house near the Sadiq Masjid in Block-B of Abidabad in response to reports about the body of a man hanging from a ceiling fan.
The body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a postmortem examination.
Shahab Talib, father of the deceased, identified as Hazrat Wali, 21, told the police that his son worked in a garments factory. He said Wali returned from his workplace on Friday evening, but they found him hanging from a ceiling fan of his room in the morning.
The police handed over the body of the deceased to the family for burial.
Separately, a 19-year-old man allegedly took his own life in Saeedabad.
The duty officer of the area’s police station said police were informed about the suicide through the police helpline number 15.
A police party attended the scene in Umar Farooq Colony, Sector 17, Saeedabad, where family members said Usman Ghani, son of Fareedain, had committed suicide. They were, however, clueless about the motive. Police handed over the body to heirs for burial.
