LAHORE
Dry weather with some clouds in the sky was observed in the provincial capital here Thursday while Met office predicted that rain-thunderstorm along with gusty winds is expected at isolated places during the next 24 hours.
Met officials said continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country during next 24 hours. They said a shallow westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country.
Met office predicted that mainly hot and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country.
They added that rain and thunderstorm along with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Zhob, Sukkur divisions, Fata and Kashmir.
While dust-storm/gusty winds are also expected to blow in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the country. Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi where mercury reached 44°C while it was 43°C in Dadu, Turbat and Mohenjo Daro while it was 42°C at Padidan, Khanpur, Jacobabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Larkana and Rohri. In Lahore, highest temperature was 36°C, lowest was 22.3°C and humidity was 19 percent.
