Four arrested for activating SIMs illegally
LAHORE
CIA police Wednesday arrested four people for activating SIMs of different networks through unfair means.
The arrested people identified as Ejaz, Muhammad Sajid, Naveed and Bilal activated SIMs with the abetment of officials of Nadra database and sold them to anti-state elements and criminals.
Police recovered 300 SIMs, two biometric devices, three modems, gateway SIMS, five laptops, ten fingerprint papers and 50 cellphones from their possession.
Two members of the arrested persons identified as Khurram Farooq and Yousaf Butt were still at large. SP CIA announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the raiding team.
found dead: A 47-year-old man was found dead in Bhatti Gate police limits on Wednesday. The police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy.
The victim yet to be identified was found dead near public toilets. Police after being informed reached the scene and shifted him to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
