LAHORE
The DIG Operations awarded punishments to 56 officers and officials on various charges, including patronising drug pushers, delaying in registering FIRs, misbehaving with citizens, misappropriating the recovered property and abuse of power.
The punishments include dismissal from service, forfeiture of service, demotion, stoppage of increment and punishment of censure.
He dismissed Bhatti Gate SHO Inspector Javed Iqbal, Nishtar Colony SHO Muhammad Ameen, Sundar SHO Imran Yousaf and Naseerabad SHO Izatullah from service on charges of patronising drug pushers, patronising land grabber mafia and criminal negligence, respectively.
Former SHO Kahna, former SHO Raiwind, SHO Masti Gate, former SHO Kot Lakhpat, SHO Defence C, SHO Chung, SHO Civil Lines, SHO Harbanspura, SHO Millat Park, former SHO Sherakot, former SHO Baghbanpura, former SHO North Cantt, former SHO Sabzazar and former SHO Shadman were among those who had been awarded punishments.
