ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bails to the 13 accused allegedly involved in a corruption case of the road construction from Ghotki to Sukkur. Justice Sh Azmat Saeed heard the bail plea.
The bench observed that the bails would be suspended without serving notices if the accused failed to attend the trial court proceedings. During the proceeding, the NAB counsel stated that the department would complete the trial within two months.
The counsel for the accused argued that statements of three witnesses were still pending to be recorded and the matter was of only Rs270,000. Earlier, the Sindh High Court had rejected the bail plea of the accused in the case.
