The M-9 is a 136-km long 6-lane motorway connecting the cities of Hyderabad and Karachi in Sindh. It is a part of Pakistan’s Motorways Network. The construction of the Karachi-Hyderabad motorway is proceeding at a slow pace. Travelling by road between the two cities has become a Herculean task.
Long zigzag ways are in such an unstable state that vehicles using the road are damaged. The poor conditions result in heavy traffic jam and increase the journey’s duration from 90 minutes to almost three hours. It is high time the Sindh government looked into the matter. The need of the hour is to speed up the completion of the motorway in order to provide the much needed relief to the people of Sindh.
