KARACHI: The Institute of Financial Markets Pakistan (IFMP) has launched research analyst certification programme for equity analysts.
A spokesman of IFMP said on Saturday the certification, a first-of- its-kind in Pakistan, is aimed to improve the skill sets of analysts needed in the areas of investment research, analysis, valuation and recommendation of equity securities.
The certification would address the existence of any potential conflict of interest and ensure impartiality of the reports and recommendations made by research analysts.
This certification is specifically designed to meet the minimum qualification needs of the capital market participants working as research analysts at brokerage houses, research firms and investment/securities advisors. Professionals, working at banks and asset management companies engaged in the activities of investment analysis, financial modeling and equity valuation for augmenting their investment decision may also benefit from this certification.
