Bhikki project

Bhikki project

Keeping in view the unprecedented power outages in the country, the inauguration of the 1,180 MW Bhikki Power Plant brings hope for this dismal nation who is facing more than 8 hours of loadshedding in some parts of the country. There is no doubt that the government is leaving no stone unturned to meet the energy needs of the country and to attain this objective it has initiated many energy projects, but to the surprise of many; with occasional blackouts, the plight of people is increasing with each passing day.

Electricity is indispensable and essential for the socio-economic development of Pakistan. Therefore, for ‘energy-starved Pakistan’ the inauguration of the Bhikki project is another hope. Moreover, the completion of this gas power plant in mere 18 months is a world record in itself. That day is not far when the government will tackle the energy crisis in the country and the and the future generations will start living in a brighter Pakistan.
