An exhibition titled “By Land” featuring new works by Saba Qizilbash is running at Koel Gallery at 5pm. In her recent work, Qizilbash visually evokes the geographic and humanitarian consequences of partition in South Asia.

Ek Raaz (A Secret)

Ek Raaz (A Secret) features works by Sana Kazi, a miniature artist based in Lahore.

Her current body of work culminates out of a discourse with wood ashes, graphite, and dashes of color on a wasli. The paintings in layers upon layers, erased, re-structured, re-constructed and re-invented in a manner that the surface and the image becomes one. The show opens at 5pm on Tuesday, April 25 and continues until Thursday, May 4 at the Sanat Initiative.

A series of fortunate events

Sanat Initiative is hosting Ahmed Javed’s solo exhibition titled “A series of fortunate events”.

 Javed's work seeks to preserve traditional miniature while acknowledging its existence in present context. The show opens at 5pm and continues until Thursday, April 20 at the Sanat Initiatve Gallery.
