ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has sent a list of 242 trade organisations to the Director General Trade Organization (DGTO), Ministry of Commerce, requesting a report on their status of legal compliance, a statement said on Wednesday.
The commission has requested the office of the DGTO to compare the information forwarded by the SECP with the record of DGTO’s and confirm the same accordingly, it said.
The exercise is aimed at improving the accuracy of information being maintained by the SECP and necessary legal compliance by the trade organisations required under the relevant laws administered by the two regulators. These trade organisations are registered with the SECP.
