CM says army has written new history in war against terrorism

LAHORE

Lahore Corps Commander Lt-Gen Mohammad Sadiq Ali called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here Friday. They exchanged views on security, professional issues and Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. 

They expressed satisfaction over the continued acts against terrorists and their facilitators and reiterated their commitment to intensify operations against the insurgency until its complete eradication. 

According to a handout, the chief minister also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the officers and Jawans of the armed forces in the fight against terrorism. Talking on this occasion, the chief minister said that war against terrorism is actually the war of existence for Pakistan and incredible sacrifices of brave sons of our nation is bringing back peace to our homeland. He said the mindset needs to be reformed as our nation has vowed to curb terrorism with coordinated efforts. Pakistan army is capable enough to thwart enemy's designs and their bravery in war against terrorism has inscribed a new history, he added. 

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan had cherished incredible achievements in war against terrorism and it is hoped that operation Radd-ul-Fasaad will stop the malevolence of fear. He said that NAP is the certification of peace in Pakistan and joint decision of political leadership and armed forces is bringing fruitful results. He said the world has acknowledged the great sacrifices being rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism and whole nation is standing firm against nefarious designs of terrorists. He pledged that those playing with the innocent lives would be held accountable and we will leave no stone unturned to thwart the schemes of foes.

CPEC: Pakistan Ambassador in Bahrain Javed Malik calls on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday. Issues of mutual interest and provision of opportunities for foreign investors were discussed in the meeting. Shahbaz Sharif on this occasion said that under the vibrant leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif, favourable environment has been created in country and investors are provided with best possible facilities under compact policies of government which restored the confidence of foreign investors.
