PJBC team due in April

TOKYO: A delegation of the Pak-Japan Business Council (PJBC) will visit Pakistan in April with an aim to invest in different sectors in Sindh and Punjab, Rana Abid Hussain, president, PJBC, said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

The delegation, will be headed by PJBC chairman, and member parliament Muhammad Hussain Inoki. It will comprise of Japanese investors in automobile, telecom, and textile sectors, the PJBC president said.

Rana Abid, who is the only Pakistani who is an advisor and director in HINO Japan, said, “After the CPEC project coming into realistic view, the Japanese investors are also showing their interest in investment in Pakistan, especially near the CPEC allocated areas.”

He said the automobile giant was also studying to work out a plan to establish a logistic business in Pakistan. He also said though overseas Pakistanis residing in Japan were willing to invest in Gwadar, the government had not announced any projects for them.

Inoki, who is a very sincere friend of Pakistan, has agreed to join the PJBC delegation to encourage Japanese investors in invest in Pakistan’s auto, telecom, and textile sector, Rana Abid said.  The delegation also aims to enhance bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Japan, he added.
