Wapda union protest continues
SWABI: The office-bearers of Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union, Tarbela Dam, said on Sunday that the protest against deputy director administration’s alleged involvement in illegal activities would continue till his transfer from Tarbela Dam.The union leaders on March 22 announced to launch a campaign against the official, Niaz Sardar, after accusing him of creating hurdles for them.Tarbela Dam Power House employees’ Welfare Workers chairman Humayun Khan said it might be difficult for them to meet the demands of the workers and fulfill the pledges made with them during the election due to attitude of the official. He alleged the official indulged in serious illegal activities, harming both Wapda and workers. They had already started installing banners in all residential colonies, roads and streets.
