The provision of technical training and creating job opportunities for unemployed youth
remains a remarkable achievement of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
In these words, Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair hailed the body’s role while speaking at a ceremony organised by NAVTTC Sindh at the Governor House to distribute toolkits.
The governor used the occasion to assure the officials concerned that he would speak to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for increasing the funds for technical and vocational trainings.
Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, the NAVTTC chief, said more than 75,000 unemployed youths had been trained at different institutes through NAVTTC over the past one and half years.
More than 25,000 unemployed youngsters would be trained over the next six months, he added. NAVTTC trainees have secured jobs at organisations such as Aman Foundation, Edhi Foundation, NHA and Motorway Police.
