Alleged terrorist arrested in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT: The police have arrested an alleged terrorist during a raid in Landiwah village of Kurram Par area, said an official on Saturday.

The official said that a raid was carried out on a tip off about the presence of the wanted man in the locality.

“Local police authorities constituted a special raiding party, headed by SHO Dadiwala Waheed Noor, and sent it to Landiwah village in Kurram Par area,” he added.

He said the commandos of Elite Force also assisted the police.

“The law enforcers besieged the hideout and arrested Muhammad Sameen without any resistance,” he said, adding that Sameen was wanted by the police in murder, attempted murder, narcotics selling, attack on police and other terrorism-related cases.

He said the local police have arrested several wanted men in successful operations, commanded by District Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani in Kurram Par area recently.

LAKKI MARWAT: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bannu, chairman Jahandad Khan Marwat has said that the use of modern techniques and technologies has proved helpful in eliminating cheating in examinations.

This he said while talking to local media persons after paying surprise visits to several matriculation examination centres in government-run and private schools here on Saturday.

Jahandad visited the centres at Faiz Model High School, Government Higher Secondary School No 3, Government Girls’ High School No 1, Government High School No 2 and Government Shaheed Muhammad Hassan Khan Centennial Model High School in Lakki city and Government High School in Wanda Ameer village.

He called upon the teachers to prepare students for examination properly as preparation of students was the main strategy to curb cheating.
