NAB deputy chairman sent on forced leave
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Chairman Imtiaz Tajwar has been sent on voluntarily forced leave consequent to registration of case against him.
The NAB confirmed that in consequent to registration of a case against NAB deputy chairman, the matter was considered at the highest level in the organisation and it was decided that to maintain the propriety of the office the deputy chairman will voluntarily proceed on leave forthwith. “To maintain the highest standards of professionalism, the officer will contest and clear his position," the NAB sources said.
According to FIA’s probe, Imtiaz Tajwar, during his tenure as Nadra chairman misappropriated Nadra funds of millions of rupees by spending these for personal purposes misusing his powers while paying fee of his children, even bought sacrificial (sadqa) goats and distributed costly gifts among his relatives from Nadra accounts unlawfully.
