The rupee held steady against the dollar on Monday, owing to sluggish trade activities, dealers said. The rupee closed at 104.85 to the dollar, unchanged from the previous week’s close. The domestic unit traded in the narrow band of 104.82 and 104.86 during the intraday session. Dealers said the currency pair showed little fluctuation as market participants were glued to their present positions.
