HYDERABAD: Pakistan People’s Party leader Maula Bakhsh Chandio has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was thinking of Sindh towards the end of his tenure, adding that he would keep visiting Sindh as long as he was the PM. Chandio said that the PM should not merely make announcements but he should also bring some funds for Sindh. He further added that the smaller provinces understood the policies and motives of PM Nawaz Sharif really well.
The PPP leader expressed these views while talking to the media after holding negotiations with young doctors at the Civil Hospital, Hyderabad. “For four years, the PM didn’t realise that the Sindh government wasn’t fulfilling its responsibilities. However, he has started thinking about Thatta and Sindh in the last days of his tenure,” the PPP leader said. “We are grateful to the PM that he has finally thought of Sindh in his last days and we hope that he will keep visiting Sindh as long as he is the PM.”
Maula Bakhsh Chandio said that the PM should not merely make announcements but also bring some funds for Sindh. “The drama of the federal government will not work with us because the smaller provinces are well-aware of PM Nawaz Sharif’s policies and motives,” he said. “Rules are formed to curb terrorism, but these rules have some limitations. Our inclination is towards democracy only.”
After holding negotiations with the young doctors, Maula Bakhsh Chandio assured them that he would convey their genuine issues to the Sindh chief minister. Following the negotiations, the young doctors ended their protest.
