Randhawa murder accused declared POs
Three men accused in the Advocate Naimat Randhawa murder case were on Tuesday declared proclaimed offenders by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
The murdered advocate was the special public prosecutor in the murder case of journalist Wali Khan Babar. The three absconding accused Azizullah, Abdul alias Danish and Ghufran alias Sindhi were said to be activists of the MQM.
In April 2014 the case was transferred to a court in Sukkur owing to security issues, but has now been transferred back to a court inside the Karachi prison. Advocate Randhawa was attacked in September 2013 along with his son Tauqeer Randhawa, in North Nazimabad. His son sustained injuries but survived.
Life imprisonment
A local court awarded life imprisonment to two brothers, Afsar Khan and Laaiq Khan, for the murder of a man named Anwer Zeb in 2010 in North Nazimabad.
Judicial remand
Three activists of MQM-London, Danish Iqbal, Muhammad Rehan and Amir were remanded to the central prison on a judicial remand till March 8.
