RAWALPINDI: Ex-Servicemen Legal Forum here on Monday passed a resolution demanding of the government to suspend transit facility provided to Nato in Afghanistan, revisit the infamous transit agreement that was signed by the former President General (R) Pervez Musharraf and put this agreement before the parliament for discussion.

To stop terrorism in Pakistan, it is necessary to put Indian spy agency RAW’s involvement to halt in Afghanistan where American CIA has a supervisory role, the resolution said.  Given the fact that Afghanistan has no ammunition factory of its own while Pakistan army destroyed local manufacturing in tribal belt; this gives a clear picture as to who has been providing ammunition to the terrorists attacking Pakistan. Ex-Servicemen Legal Forum said all the Nato ammunition passes through the transit route via Pakistan and the same then is used against our own country.

Nearly all the terrorists captured and investigated so far have confessed that they were trained and armed in Afghanistan. For the first time in history Pakistan Army using heavy artillery destroyed terrorist base camps alongside Pak-Afghan border. Afghan government on the other hand has allowed India to establish dozens of its consulates alongside the border where terrorists were trained and armed by the Indian government.

Afghanistan government at the moment is under full control of Nato. It is Nato that chalks out policies for the Afghan president and even statements of Afghan presidents were issued after clearance from Nato.

Until and unless Nato’s transit facility is put under thorough check, there is no question of returning peace to the country where more than 50,000 civilians and 23,000 law enforcement officials lost their precious lives.

Resolution demanded that complete screening of the vehicle plying on transit route and of diplomatic vehicles as well may also be done. Pervez Musharraf had allowed Nato to go without any checking and screening and whenever a vehicle was intercepted, heavy ammunition was recovered from it. For the safety and sovereignty of this country, the agreement signed between Nato and Pervez Musharraf should be made public, the resolution demanded.
