Says federal govt reps reached Sehwan but did not visit shrine

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party leader Maula Bux Chandio said, “Had there been operation Raddul Intishaar (fight against chaos) in the country, there would have been
no need to launch Operation Raddul Fasaad (fight against violence/mischief).”

While talking to the media on Sunday, he said the representatives of the federal government had reached Sehwan but they did not visit the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. “What message did they convey through this act?” he questioned.

Chandio alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-N government had no resources for the small provinces of the country. He claimed that the federal government was doing nothing for Sindh.

Chandio said that the Sindh government, with the help of Rangers, police and the people, carried out a rigorous operation against terrorists to restore peace. He said there was no one in the Centre to listen to the grievances of small provinces. Chandio further added that the federal government was never held accountable no matter whatever it did or said. “It makes announcements, rejoices its acts, but does nothing practical for the provinces,” he added.

While talking about Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, he said that his (Nisar’s) good intentions should also reflect in his decisions. “If his intensions will be good, his decisions will also produce good results,” Chandio added.

Recently, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari expressed extreme displeasure over Irfanullah Marwat’s move to the PPP. When asked to comment on their reaction, Chandio couldn’t give a clear reply and said, “I am unaware of the development, but the doors for apology are never closed. I cannot deny what Bakhtawar and Aseefa have said, they are granddaughters of my political mentor.”
