MUZAFFARGARH: Agriculture Department will observe "Weeds Eradication Week" from March 4 to 12, a statement said on Saturday.
“The basic aim of marking the week is to create awareness among farmers about dangers of weeds and their effects on atmosphere,” Deputy Director Agriculture Mehr Abid Hussain said while talking to a press conference at his office.
He added the agriculture department would select one village, where weeds would be removed from farmland, water tributaries, and other areas. “The department will also organise seminars and workshops during this week,” Abid said.
