PML-N accuses PTI of politicising Panama case
ISLAMABAD: PML-N leaders on Thursday said that PTI has contested Panama Papers case politically and not legally.
Talking to media persons outside Supreme Court (SC), Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that the petitioners were not serious in contesting the case and only tried to pressurise the national institutions.
He said verdicts of the courts should be accepted in letter and spirit. The minister said the best option for politicians is to take all cases before the courts of people. He said problems and differences are sorted out through dialogue and discussion and not through agitation or violence.
He said chairman PTI is trying to pressurise the government institutions including SCand Election Commission to get decision in his favour. “I have been attached to Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif for a very long time and I haven’t seen corruption in their work,” Saad said.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that people and Government of Pakistan stand united against the scourge of terrorism. She said terrorists would be given a death blow with the operation ‘Radd ul Fasaad’ that will continue till the total elimination of terrorists.
She said the security forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of the country are rendering matchless brave services to safeguard the country. The minister said that the government is fully committed to ensure peace and security of the country.
She urged the media to report the incidents of terrorism cautiously and with a full sense of responsibility. PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz said that conspiracies against democracy would die down. He said apex court has said they cannot give decision over the clippings of newspapers. PTI failed to produce single document against PM Nawaz Sharif.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Panama is not the issue for our country. Chairman PTI failed to produce even a single solid document against Sharif family. “Inside the court Imran Khan says he has full trust in the apex court whereas he speaks totally opposite when he comes out of the court,” he added. He said PML-N would accept the decision of SC, in favour or against it.
