CHARSADDA: The district general council of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Thursday expressed concerned over the growing contacts of one of its Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly with the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and empowered the party district chapter leaders to take action against the lawmaker Fazal Shakoor for his deviant behaviour.
The meeting condemned what they argued Fazal Shakoor’s violation of the party policies and breaching the trust of the party leaders and workers. District general secretary of the JUI-F Mufti Gohar Ali Shah, Maulana Shaukat Ali, Maulana Said Kamal, Maulana Liaqat Ali, Dr Altaf and others attended the meeting.
The participants said the workers were concerned about the activities of Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Shakoor. The MPA had organized a function for Chief Minister Pervez Khattak at his residence during his visit to the area.
The participants of the meeting discussed the recent developments in details. They gave the district council the green signal to take disciplinary action against Fazal Shakoor. Those in the meeting said the unfaithfulness of Fazal Shakoor to JUI-F had hurt the feelings of thousands of party workers and they wanted action against him for his offensive behavior. It is to mention here that the chief minister had visited and addressed and announced various uplift projects on the request of lawmaker Fazal Shakoor at his residence a day earlier.
