Parents appeal for recovery of girl

LAHORE

Badami Bagh police have failed to bust the gang involved in kidnapping young girls and smuggling them abroad for prostitution.

The parents of a young girl named Shumail Parveen, a resident of Khokhar Pind, Badami Bagh, have appealed to the Lahore High Court chief justice and IGP for immediate recovery of their daughter and arrest of the persons involved in such kind of heinous crime.

The victim’s mother during her visit to The News office alleged one Rizwan of the area had lured her daughter when she visited the bazaar near Ring Road and she never returned. Police after being informed reached the scene, collected evidence and registered an FIR 53/17 under Section 496/A of PPC on January 17, 2017.

Police arrested the accused who told police that the victim had been sent aboard where his mother was also living. The victim’s parents have alleged that Rizwan, his mother Madam Noor Soim Irfan, Saif and others were involved in smuggling of young girls aboard for prostitution. The victim’s parents have demanded immediate action against the gang and recover their daughter. 

The Chief Minister's Secretariat has also directed the DIG Investigations to probe the matter and take action. The in charge Investigation Badami Bagh said the accused person contracted marriage with the victim and later sent her abroad for unknown purpose. He added that now the accused was on bail but police were probing the matter to hunt the gang.
