Ishtiaq Baig leaves for Morocco

KARACHI: Hon. Consul General of Morocco and FPCCI Vice President Ishtiaq Baig has left for Morocco. During his stay, he will meet the President of Morocco Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss about the visit of the FPCCI delegation to Morocco. He will also meet Ambassador of Pakistan to Morocco H E Nadir Chaudhry to have a single country exhibition of Pakistani products in Morocco.

 

Filling station’s watchman shot dead in Swat

MINGORA: A watchman of a filling station was gunned down in Khwazakhela area in Swat district on Monday night, police said. They said a watchman identified as Naveed was present at the filling station in Asala area when unidentified gunmen fired at him, killing him on the spot. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the family members for burial. The police registered the case against unknown persons and started investigation.

 

No restriction on Ayyan to travel abroad: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that there is no restriction on model Ayyan Ali on travelling abroad. The chief justice said this Tuesday while hearing the contempt of court plea filed by Ayyan for not removing her name from the ECL. He said the apex court had earlier issued its verdict on the petition. All petitions have become void after the orders of the Supreme Court, he added. He also said the detailed verdict on the petition will be announced soon.

 

Saka Nankana festivities conclude

NANKANA SAHIB: A three-day festivities of Saka Nankana were concluded at Gurdwara Janamasthan here on Tuesday. The Sikhs performed their traditional rituals, including Shabad Keertan, Akhand Paat, Ardas and Matha Taki, during the festivities. The Sikh Yatrees said that their religion gives a lesson of peace and brotherhood. They said that all minorities, including Sikhs, were enjoying complete freedom in Pakistan. Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee secretary general Sardar Gopal Singh Chawla, Additional Secretary Shrines Khalid Ali, Deputy Secretary Shrines Muhammad Imran Gondal and others were also present.
