PU date-sheets

PUNJAB University (PU) Examination Department has issued revised written and practical date-sheets of BSc Chemical Engineering 2nd & 4th Semester Examination 2014, BBA (Hons.) 1st & 2nd Years Annual Examination 2014, and MSc Home Economics Part-I & II Annual Examination 2014.
Meanwhile, PU Examination Department has also notified that the last date for receipt of admission form and fee of B.Ed. 2nd Annual Examination 2014 will be January 30, 2015 while the date of commencement of said exam will be announced later. Details are also available on PU website www.pu.edu.pk
Teachers: A meeting of heads of all teaching and administrative departments of Punjab University held at Al Raazi Hall has unanimously passed a resolution condemning letters written by two Syndicate members Javed Sami and Shumaila Gul.
According to a press release issued by the PU, all the heads were of the unanimous view that the committee set up by PU Syndicate for appointment of teachers on contract basis was appointing teachers as per recommendations of heads and deans of the departments concerned following a strict criteria and rules and regulations. They said the deans and syndicate’s two members, religious scholar Maulana Raghib Hussain Naeemi and Prof Dr Amir Ejaz, were included in the committee and the administration was playing a facilitative role in appointment of teachers on contract basis. They said the role of the committee was commendable. They condemned the use of unethical and irresponsible language in the letters.
