Shahbaz orders tight security on Eid Milad
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that protection of life and property of people and maintenance of law and order is top priority of the government, therefore, foolproof security arrangements should be made in the province for ensuring peace on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
Security of processions should be ensured in accordance with the plan evolved in this regard, he added. Issuing directions to provincial cabinet committee on law and order from London today, the chief minister said that law enforcement agencies should remain vigilant and perform their duties in a coordinated manner.
He said that effective measures were needed for maintaining law and order in the present situation, therefore, police and other institutions should perform their duties efficiently and a watchful eye should be kept on anti-social elements.
