Drug prices
The ongoing disagreement between the government and a few pharmaceutical companies over the pricing of a tuberculosis drug has put the lives of people suffering from tuberculosis in danger. Due to the unavailability of medicines of the contagious disease like tuberculosis and hepatitis, these diseases are on a rise. Instead of halting the manufacturing of such medicines owing to their pricing, the government should have come up with another solution.
It is unfortunate that we need these ‘high-priced’ medicines because they are essential in saving the lives of the people. Since the cost of production of these medicines is high therefore their pricing cannot possibly be lowered. However, the government should come with such pricing plan which benefits the people on a large-scale. Discontinuing the supply of medicines is no use
