Family doctors conference from 10th

LAHORE

The Family Medicine Education Centre (FMEC) will hold the 4th international annual conference “Family Doctors Con” in a local hotel in Lahore from December 10 and 11. Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajwana will inaugurate the conference while the Punjab minister for specialised healthcare and medical education will be the guest of honor.

Addressing a press conference, FMEC vice president and conference organiser Dr Capt (retd) Arshad Humayun, chief organiser Dr Shahid Shahab, secretary Dr Khalid Ali and Dr Shahid Malik said that eminent professors, specialists and international experts would participate in the conference and deliver lectures.

National and multinational pharmaceutical companies will also participate in the conference and display their stalls.

Dr Capt (retd) Arshad Humayun said that there would be seven pre-conference workshops including on X-ray, chest and ECG at Punjab Institute of Cardiology on December 3; workshops on skin diseases on December 4 and diabetic foot on December 5 in Shalamar Hospital; workshop on circumcision on December 6 in Children’s Hospital; workshop on family medicine on December 7 in University of Health Sciences; and workshop on women’s diseases will be held on December 8 in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

All workshops will be held from 8:30 am till 10:30 am. Another workshop on ultrasound will be held on December 9 at Zikriya Hospital from 9 am till 5 pm.
