Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education has sacked a schoolteacher and served final show cause notice to another over absenteeism. The FDE oversees government educational institutions in the Islamabad Capital Territory totalling over 400.

According to a notification of the FDE, trained graduate teacher, Zahid Ali (BPS-16) has been removed from service as a major penalty under the Efficiency and Discipline Rule 1973 for wilful absence from duty since October 1, 2012.

He didn’t respond to the final show cause notice. Also, the teacher’s name has been struck off from the strength of his school, the Islamabad Model School for Boys Dhreak Mohri, Islamabad.

Also, the FDE issued a final show cause notice to trained graduate teacher, Shahhida Shahnaz, of Islamabad Model School G-7/3-1 Islamabad for being absent from duty since August 11, 2015.

She’s been asked to appear before the FDE deputy director schools (female) within a fortnight failing which could lead to her dismissal from service under the Efficiency and Discipline Rule 1973.
