Five power generation units of Tarbela shut down

HARIPUR: Owing to decrease in water inflow on Saturday power generation level of Tarbela Dam fell to 1,640 megawatts as five hydro power generation units of Tarbela Dam were shut down. Tarbela Dam officials also disclosed that a decrease in water inflow in the dam, which is 23,100 cusecs feet and outflow is 65,000 cusec feet, they had shut down five units and power generation had gone down to 1,640MW.
The remaining units are not working at their full capacity either. According to the Tarbela Dam officials, the water level is only 1,478.88 feet and water storage level of Tarbela Dam has also decreased.
