Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter faith Harmony will organize a day long National Seerat Conference on January 4 (Sunday) to pay homage to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) as part of the celebrations of 12th Rabi ul Awwal.
The conference is being organized as part of the country wide Eid Milad un Nabi (SAWS) celebrations and to project the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him).
Meanwhile, Seerat Conferences will be inaugurated by the governors, ministers or eminent ulema and Mashaikh at provincial divisional and district headquarters respectively.
The conference would be attended by the prominent ulema and scholars who will present their articles and thoughts on the theme ‘Role of Media and Responsibilities in the Light of Teachings
of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him).’
The ministry will arrange Seerat writing competitions of Seerat Books which were in national regional and foreign languages Na at Books Islamic Books written by female scholars Maqalaat e Seerat and journals issuing Special Seerat numbers.
Seerat meetings would be held in Foreign Missions corporations semi government organizations autonomous bodies and defence establishment.
The outstanding position holders in the Seerat Naat Book and Article competitions would receive prizes and awards in the prize distribution ceremony to be held in the concluding sessions.
The heads of educational institutions are directed to ensure participation of students and teachers in the functions. The functions will conclude with prayers for the prosperity development
of the country and welfare of the people. The maximum coverage of the events through media would be ensured throughout the month of Rabi ul Awwal. Special editions by newspapers and magazines will be
issued. Special Na atia mushaira and quiz programmes on Seerat will be arranged by various forums.
The best articles presented in the Seerat Conference may be broadcast and telecast on Radio and TV along with information, introduction of best Seerat Books in Urdu foreign and regional
languages.
On the dawn of 12th Rabi ul Awwal 31 Guns Salute in the federal capital and 21 Guns Salute at the provincial headquarters will be fired. The sweets would be distributed in the schools and colleges and also among orphans widows destitute disabled and prisoners.
Special Seerat banners and illuminations on public buildings throughout the country will be arranged keeping in view the austerity drive of the government.
