Trump is the oldest elected US president

LAHORE: At 70 years, four months and 25 days, Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is now the oldest elected American head of state, shattering the record of Ronald Reagan, was 69 years, 349 days old when he assumed charge of the White House. Reagan was also the oldest in office 77 years, 349 days, when he left the Oval Office.
The youngest person to assume office was Theodore Roosevelt, who became president following William McKinley’s assassination, at the age of 42 years, 322 days. However, the youngest US president elected to office was John F. Kennedy, who assumed office at the age of 43 years, 236 days.
Kennedy was also the youngest to leave office when he was shot dead in Dallas (Texas) at the age of 46 years, 177 days.
