The government, in its resolve to root out terrorism from the country, should take notice of the unrestrained funding to terrorist organisations through loopholes in our financial sector. The government has already decided to digitise the mode of financial transactions from cash-based to digital-based which will help trace money laundering and terror funding. Measures like these are the need of the hour.
Untraceable terror funding strengthens the hands of terrorist organisations and without blocking it terrorism cannot be completely wiped out from the country. Therefore the government should earnestly pursue the task of digitising the banking sector to paralyse the terror network.
