NA speaker’s visit to bolster ties with Bahrain: Javed Malik

BAHRAIN: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was warmly welcomed at Bahrain Airport by his Bahraini counterpart and a number of Bahraini parliamentarians as he arrived in Bahrain for a three-day official visit on Monday.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Javed Malik while speaking on the occasion said, “the Speaker of the Bahraini Parliament Ahmed Bin Ebrahim Al Mullah along with the deputy speaker and a number of other parliamentarians received Speaker Ayaz Sadiq at the Airport and this warm gesture highlights the importance  that Bahrain attaches to its brotherly ties with Pakistan, says press release.

The NA speaker’s visit will consolidate, strengthen and further expand the scope of bilateral ties between both countries”. Ambassador Javed Malik said, “Just like Pakistan and Bahrain share a historic relationship, we are working to ensure that the future of our bilateral relations continues its positive momentum and it is part of Pakistan’s foreign policy to strengthen its ties with all GCC states”.

More than four million Pakistanis live in the Gulf region and regular visits of our leaders continue to bolster our ties and explore ways to expand them in line with the trends of the prevailing geo-strategic developments. “We have planned a busy schedule for the NA speaker and meetings will be held with King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the prime minister a number of senior ministers in Bahraini government”

Speaking about Pakistan’s relations with GCC, Ambassador Javed Malik said, “Pakistan and the GCC countries share a unique relationship and we are working closely to improve and expand the relations at every level. He said that Pakistan is an important country in the region and is seen as key ally for Bahrain and the GCC.
