Case against PRSP official adjourned
LAHORE
An accountability court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a case against Director Punjab Rural Support Programme Nazir Ahmed Khan accused of embezzlement of funds by November 17.
The court has adjourned the hearing against the accused after recording statement of two prosecution witnesses.
National Accountability Bureau had filed references against Nazir Ahmed Khan in which the Bureau stated that he was involved in fraud of millions of rupees in Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP).
Meanwhile, the same court adjourned the hearing of another case by November 17 against Hafiz Muhammad Javed accused of looting millions of rupees by establishing a non-recognised university in Sialkot.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had sealed Sialkot-based private university “Islamic University of Pakistan, Sialkot and had arrested its Vice-Chancellor Hafiz Javaid Cheema and his two sons. NAB had also seized all the record of the university besides initiating investigations against the suspects.
