LAHORE
A World Bank delegation visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Thursday and called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.
The objective of the meeting was to explore the possibility of sustainable livestock production in Punjab through improvement in its marketing strategies.
Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said there was a need to develop sustainable livestock extension model throughout the country having more focus on fodder and vaccine production, improving marketing opportunities for small farmers. He said the university was working very closely with the livestock, poultry and allied industries and playing an active role in the development of livestock and poultry sectors in Pakistan.
