Pakistan hockey
It is sad to see that hockey has deteriorated to such an extent that the country found it difficult to beat the 16 ranked team in the FIH rankings. Most recently, it was India that completely outplayed us in the game. Their game play was so quick, and it was literally a treat to watch the Indian players dominating the game and eventually they took the game out of our hands, although the Green Shirts had a slight lead in the beginning of the match. Now, it seems uncertain that the country will be able to defeat the minnows of the game.
There was a time when Pakistan used to dominate the game and awe the world with great performances. If things go in the same pattern, Pakistan would have a hard time in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup along with the 2020 Olympics. Pakistan will be competing once again against India in the semifinal of the Asian Champions Trophy 2016, let us hope and keep our fingers crossed for the better performance of the national team.
