Medical camps held in FR Tank

PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Health Services Fata arranged medical camps in different areas of the Frontier Region (FR) Tank through mobile hospital programme.

The aim of medical camps was to provide quality healthcare services to poor people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) at their doorsteps, said a communiqué here on Saturday.

The medical camps were organised in various areas of FR Tank, including Jandola, Sor Ghar and Soye Wal.

It said that over 3054 eye patients were examined while 615 different X-rays were conducted.

It added that 496 patients received free consultation, medicines and spectacles.

The mobile hospital had also arranged different diagnostic facilities for the patients, including blood screening for hepatitis, malaria, typhoid and urine tests.

Over 225 gynae patients were examined in the medical camps, while scores of other women received counselling for family planning.

The people of FR Tank appreciated the initiative and called for arranging such more medical camps in the area.
