LAHORE

PTI leader and former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that "Gullu-cracy" has been enacted in the name of democracy.

Talking to the media on Saturday, Chaudhry Sarwar said that if government thought it could stop Imran Khan by arrests and blocking Banigala, it was wrong because the PTI would break the obstacles.

“We don't want to take the law into our hands but government is compelling us to do so," he said.

He said the PML-N was using violence against the peaceful people which neither had happened in dictatorship nor in monarchy.

"Lockdown doesn't mean that we will forcibly shut down the city but if one million people would gather, there will be shutdown in the city. Arrests, teargas and violence cannot bar the PTI workers from participating in the November 2 protest, he claimed.

The PML-N is treating PTI workers like terrorists which is against the spirit of democracy, he said.

One million people will take to the streets on November 2 against the 'Gullu-cracy' which is destructing the whole country, he said. PTI senior leader Dr Yasmin Rashid, warning the prime minister of public wrath, demanded him present himself for accountability before it was too late.

Distributing pamphlets regarding Panama Leaks and Nov 2 protest among the public on The Mall, Dr Yasmin Rashid, also the PTI ticket holder from NA-120, said that the arrests, crackdown and other tactics of victimisation had exposed the rulers. The event was also attended by MNA Shafqat Mehmood, MPA Aslam Iqbal and a number of party members.

Meanwhile, Sumsam Bokhari, PTI Punjab secretary information, in a statement issued on Saturday, said that the tale of Shahbaz Sharif’s corruption was also before the nation now like that of his brother, the PM.

He said that millions of people would reach Islamabad on the call of PTI Chairman Imran Khan as the PTI supporters were determined to bring about change in the country.

He said the police torture and arrests of PTI activists reflected the mindset of the rulers. He said the resignation of Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rasheed was the fall of the first PML-N wicket and the government was about to see its sunset.
