Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber office-bearers elected

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry has elected office-bearers at the general body meeting of the trade body.

Mohammad Zubair Motiwala was unanimously elected president while Ziaul Haq Sarhadi was chosen unopposed senior vice-president of the chamber. The elections were held at the head office of the chamber.

Abdul Qayyum Kakar was elected vice-president while Imtiaz Ahmad Ali, Junaid Ismail Mukhad, Niaz Mohammad and Javed Akhtar Bhatti were picked as directors. Ziaul Haq Sarhadi is a Peshawar-based businessman who has 40 years long experience of customs clearing and forwarding, import/ export and Afghan transit trade.

He is vice-chairman of the All Pakistan Customs Agents Association, president, Frontier Customs Agents Group and vice-chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber and Commerce Industry standing committee on Customs’ Agents.

After his election as senior vice -president of Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ziaul Haq Sarhadi expressed gratitude to the members of the joint chamber and business community of the whole country. He promised to come up to the expectations of the business community.
